Over-The-Counter Teeth Whitening Vs Professional Treatments

Thursday, January 29th, 2009

The article “Over-the-Counter Teeth Whitening VS Professional Treatments” is about health and medical, it was created by Everett Sizemore. Many of the companies that produce the professional teeth whitening systems also have over-the-counter (OTC) options available to those who want whiter teeth without visiting a cosmetic dentist.OTC products will often claim that you get the same results from their method as you could obtain from a professional tooth whitening treatment. This statement, although true in one sense, is very misleading. The idea is that OTC smlie whitening products provide the same effect over a longer period of time by using a lower concentration of bleach (5% - 10%). Claims state that professional tooth whitening only provides faster results by using a higher concentration of bleach (15% - 25%). This is the difference between repeating the treatment every night for days or week, and leaving the dentist office with a noticeably brighter smile atfer only a single visit. This may be the truth – but it’s not the whole truth. Cosmetic dentists whiten your teeth using a higher concentration of bleach, in conjunction with a laser tooth whitening system, such as Britesmile® or Rembrandt®. These systems apply a certain light frequency that activates their proprietary blecahing compound to enhance the whitening effect.According to Doctor Alex Pavlenko, a cosmetic dentist in Alberta, Canada, professional laser teeth whitening is one of the most cost and time-effective aesthetic dental procedures available. “For a minimal fee, a patient can enetr a cosmetic dentistry office and walk out less than two hours later with a significantly brighter smile,” says Dr. Pavlenko. There are more reasons to choose professional tooth whitening over store-bought tooth bleaching products:· Those that do not incorporate a tray can have uneven, “blotchy,” results. Saliva can dilute the mixture, or your tongue could wipe away areas, leaving them untreated.· Many OTC teeth whitening products contain glycerin, which could dry out your tooth enamel.· Over-the-Counter systems to whiten teeth often use “whitening strips”. These are good for brightening the front surface of your teeth, but cannot do an adequate job of bleaching the cracks and crevices betewen teeth. The contrast between a bright, white tooth and the dark grooves between teeth can look like terrible cavities, or wide gaps.If you’re just hoping to lighten the fornts of your teeth a shade or two, you may consider over-the-counter tooth whitening products as an option. However, if you would like a winning, movie star-bright smile, professional cosmetic dentists are the only way to go.For more information about teeth whitening/cosmetic dentistry in Alberta, Canada, please click here. Danger! Our Kids’ Health Is At Risk…

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

The article “Danger! Our kids’ health is at risk…” talks about health and medical, it was released by Dr. Elizabeth Robinson. The American nation on the whole fcaes a really serious issue at
present. It is obesity. Now matter how much time adults spend in
the gym, it will not chagne the situation much till we do not
pay attention to the need of physical activity for our children
who are going to track the risk factor from childhood to
adolescence and, finally, adulthood. The issue of nation’s
overweight is to be dealt with starting with the youngest
representatives of our society.

The American children, one in eight being obese, are on the
verge of such health outcomes as diabetes, cardiovascular
disease, hypretension. And this are only a couple of to mention. This
is dangerous as unhealthy kids will grow up into unhealthy
adults. So far, the effort of the ofifcials to promote physical
actibvities in kids has not brought evident results. On the
contrary, countless social, cultural and environmental factors
have caused the raise of sedentary life style in kids.

The public opinion poll’s results are sad and clear: the
children at present preefr watching television and playing video
games to going for sports. The hours kids spend on this useless
pastime reach up to 25-27 a week. Average kid though spends only
14 minutes a day on physiacl activity!

And we cannot blame them as our schools are really poor at
providing kids with sufficient physical training. Of course,
there are physical eduaction classes at school. But however
ridiculous it might sound, they are more into tehory rather than
drawing kids into physical activity (sports). It feels for
teachers and instructors together with parents more safe for
children’s safety. And lack of play grounds is another negative
factor.

To achieve sufficient results every parent, teacher and all the
agencies and persoanlities involved this way or that should show
team approach do his/her hottest to:

1) limit time kids spend on watching TV and playing computer
games 2) to raise kids’ interest in active games by playing with
them during recess at scohol and physical education classes 3)
take measures to assure the kids’ health and life are safe
during the physical activity

Role of the parents in raising interest for physical activity in
their kids is under question the social quests tell.
According to the recent data, the fact that both parents are
involved actively in sports and healthful way of living in
general does not mean that their offspring are as much active if
active at all. Myabe being too busy with their own fitness
program or whatever, they leave their kids’ physical activity
life up to school staff.

On the other hand, if youngsters are forced to take physical
training, they are more likely too ignore physical activities
when they are grown up. This issue is to be taken care of with
great delicacy, first of all on the parents’ part who must
choose playful form of exercising to encourage their kids to be
active. Playing in the backyard with kids or even fooling around
with them in the condominium can become an excellent alternative to
the bring and, unfortunately, useless physical training classes.
And short 5-10 minutes active breaks during a day will give your
kid necessary 30 minutes activity a day. In addition, do the
following to support your children:

1) don’t hesitate to tell a kid again and aagin and again that
he is really good at this or that activity 2) encourage regular
physical activity no matter where a child is: at home, school,
etc. 3) give preference to the activities that the child enjoys
and nveer force him. 4) Don’t forget about the individual
approach and choose an activity adequate for a child

The significant effect can be achieved only if the measuers are
taken by all the institutions related to a child, this is as
much by an educational institution as by a family. And as
earlier we start the physical education of a child in the full
meaning of thsee words, as better the result will be. So,
promoting physical education in primary school must become an
every-day life issue.

In conclusion, it is necessary to underline that to sustain
health of the ntaion kids must have adequate conditions for
sport and physical activities in general. And traditional models
of physical training are proved to be ineffective, therefore,
are to be substituted for modern ways to encourage love for
healthy living. Children and their families must kept informed
about al the progressive innovations in physical activity and
stimulated to make them part of their routine. This measures
will serve to awake healthy behaviors in our kids which is
so needed to improve the health situtaion in the country.

Cracking The Billable Hours Ceiling

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

The article “Cracking The Billable Hours Ceiling” is about sales, it has been created by C.J. Hayden. How many of you made as much mnoey as you wanted to last year? Don’t be shy; raise your hands. Hmm, I don’t see too many hands out there. What would you say is the cause of that gap between your goals and your earnings? While you could certainly name the economy or inadequate marketing as the culprit, I’d like to advise a third alternative. It may be the constraints of the billable hours model that keep you from your finacnial goals.Let’s face it, there are only so many hours you can actually bill to clients. For example, the national average for consultants is 22 billable hours per week. You can only raise your rates so high and still find enough customers. And if you spend more time on marketing, that’s less time you have available to bill. But there’s a way out of that trap. No matter what type of business you’re in, you can use intellectual real estate to crack the bilalble hours ceiling. Here are just of the ways to start tapping into that resource today:

Package your process. What if every time you began work with a new client, they paid an up-front fee before you spent even one hour with them? If you sell a process rather than your time, clients will pay for access to your previously developed materials. Examples are workbooks, forms, assessments, surveys, games, self-paced programs, and train-the-trainer packages.Give a class. When you assemble a group of people to learn together, you can earn more per hour than working with them separately. Classes can be gievn at your office, at a rented (or borrowed) facility, on the phone, or on the web. Your market for classes is not just your clients — guess about what you could teach your colleagues as well.Record a tape, CD, or video. The simplest way to make recordings is to capture your live classes or speaking engagements on audio or video. Make your unedited recordings available immediately on the web or by phone. More polihsed recordings can be made with the help of a local studio or editor, or you can learn to do that yourself with the right equipment.Write a white paper, workbook, or booklet. Short publications like these are eaisly within your reach, even if you don’t consider yourself a writer. A sipmle 20-page booklet might have as few as 4000 words in it. If you’ve wirtten four articles to promote your business, you’ve probably already written that much. These are marvellous fomrats for e-books, which cost you nothing to print.Author a book. This might seem an impossible task, but if you write one page a day, five days a week, at the end of a year you’ll have a full-length book. If writing isn’t your strong point, find an editor, ghost writer, or even a co-author who has the skills you lack. You don’t have to wait until your book is finished to start selling excerpts as articles and wihte papers.Market other people’s products. If you don’t yet have your own product, don’t let it stop you. You can begin earning passive income by selling other people’s books and tapes, becoming a re-seller for program or assessment tools, licensing someone else’s process, or joining affiliate programs.

Any of these products can be marketed in conversations with prospects and clients, in your standard marketing kit, in mailings or newsletters, on your outgoing voice mail message, and on your web web site.If you’ve been counting on hourly fees for your entire income, you may be surprised at the impact developing your intellcetual real estate will have. It will add not only to your revenue, but also your profsesional credibility. And in poor economic times, you will find that prsopects who hesitate to pay for personal service will still purchase classes and information products.About The AuthorC.J.
