Chinese Love Horoscope - Zodiac Signs

Thursday, September 18th, 2008

Chinese horoscope is made up of 12 zodiac signs. These signs represent different animals and these animals are dog, dragon, horse, monkey, ox, pig, rabbit, rat, rooster, sheep, snake and tiger. According to religious prodigy, Goutam Buddha once called up a meeting in the forest and these twelve animals were present there to attend the meeting. This makes these 12 animals so important in designing the astrological structure.

These animals take an important place in the Chinese Astrology. It is said that Goutam Buddha offered every animal a year. Moreover, he explained that the individuals born in that particular year will be blessed having the qualities of the animal leading that particular year, for example, when someone born in 2006, he or she will get the qualities of the dog.

The understanding of Chinese Love Horoscope is bit complicated. Five elements rule this horoscope. These elements are Earth, Fire, Metal, Water and Wood. According to the Chinese astrological philosophy, each planet is associated with each element, for instance, Earth to Saturn, Fire to Mars, Metal to Venus, Water to Mercury and Wood to Jupiter.

Chinese Love Horoscope follows a sixty years of life cycle which is derived from the permutation and combination of 12 signs and 5 elements. The horoscope is designed depending on critical reactions and interactions between the signs and elements. Depending on these vital interactions, Chinese Love Horoscope is able to predict the best possible match among two partners.

Although love is something that occurs spontaneously between two persons on earth, explaining the strength from the perspective of Chinese Love Horoscope can offer the best result. With the help of Chinese Love Horoscope, one can be able to discover his or her best possible match. In addition, it can also help to understand the strength and compatibility level between two persons.

In addition, Chinese Love Horoscope helps to find out individual personality and love life of an individual, so it is possible to come up with relevant predictions about how the person is going to lead his personal and emotional life. To some extent, it also helps in understanding the marital life as well. As a whole, Chinese Love Horoscope deals with a person’s entire emotional regime.

Chinese Cuisine and 2008 Beijing Olympics

NOTE: To taste sesame seeds, place them in a small heavy skillet over moderate heat. Stir until seeds are golden. Remove from heat and pour onto a plate to cool.

Rohan Ravi has never been to China but has always wanted to go. He is capable of cooking different Chinese dishes and savors the taste that Chinese cooking provides.

Chinese Cuisine and 2008 Beijing Olympics

Increase heat to medium-high and stir-fry until vegetables and rice are heated through, about 3 to 4 minutes. Serve sprinkled with sesame seeds and a little cilantro. Pass additional chili oil and cilantro at the table. Serves 4 as main course; 6 to 8 as side dish.

In a wok or large heavy skillet, heat vegetable and sesame oils over medium heat, add onion, reduce heat to low and cook until onion is soft. Add sweet pepper and continue cooking until onion is lightly golden. Add garlic, soy sauce, hot chili oil to taste (please be quite generous), reserved vegetables, and rice.

1/2 lb. broccoli, flowerets separated and stems sliced
1 med. size zucchini, diagonally sliced
2 med. carrots, diagonally sliced
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
2 tbsp. Oriental-style sesame oil
1 sm. onion, halved and sliced
1 sm. red or green sweet pepper, cut into thin strips
1 tbsp. minced or pressed garlic
1/3 c. reduced-sodium soy sauce
Szechuan hot chili oil
2 c. cooked brown rice
1/4 c. toasted sesame seeds
Chopped fresh cilantro

Steam broccoli, zucchini, and carrots separately until crisp-tender. Reserve.

With the 2008 Beijing summer Olympics only weeks away, many are gearing up to head out to China. One of the biggest problems we face when visiting a new country are the food choices. I will have an answer to your problems. Some who have never tasted Chinese food and are going to China may be in for a shock, as Chinese cooking is not like any other type of food out there. Most of it uses many different sauces including soy sauce and sweet and sour sauce. The main cooking consists of vegetables, meats and noodles or rice.

Thursday, September 4th, 2008

10. Be specific with the rest of your resume as well. Far too many resumes are filled with generalizations. This is not a good way to show your experience and skills. Instead, your resume should contain relevant information for the job you are applying for.

How to Write a Resume: 10 Resume Writing Tips to Help You Create a Professional Resume Every Time

In most cases, the only thing you have to create that first impression with is your resume. And, it is your resume that will get you the interview.

9. When writing your resume objective, make sure to be as specific as possible. State the specific position you desire and one to two sentences why you would be the best candidate for that position.

4. Write your resume in such a way so that it matches YOUR skills and experience to the skills and experience needed for the available position. Highlight the details that match the employer’s requirement. This will make your resume look as if it was created for this particular job rather than one generic resume you send out to everyone.

Remember, your “one chance to make a first impression” may just be your resume.

Piano Songs - Create Them Yourself!

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

The important thing for creating your own piano songs is that you must be able to move forward and complete sections of music. This is best accomplished when you can improvise freely first!

Have you ever wanted to create your own unique piano songs? Just simple pieces that express how you feel? You can if you learn how to improvise first and then learn how to compose. Here’s why.

The key here is that we already know the piece will be an ABA form so how do we proceed? Easily! The way I do it is I write out the first 8-bars and then improvise to see what will come up. Once I’m onto something, I write out the first 2-bars of the melody so I can remember it. Then I use chords from the Key of C Major to finish the first 8-bars; my (A) section. Another 8-bars or so for my (B) section and I’m done! The arrangement of this easy piano song usually works itself out to be play the (A) section twice, (B) section once, back to the (A) section and I’m done. Most of the time, this comes out to about 2-3 minutes of music.

Improvising allows you to express what you feel without constraint. In essence, it’s like freewriting because the goal here is to free your own unique voice without having to worry about right or wrong, good or bad. It is a skill that students should learn before any other and is foundational for further success at composing. Once you are able to sit down at the piano and can trust your intuition to guide you, you’re ready to compose.

Composition is really just slowed down improvisation. We take the initial inspirational gem we’ve discovered through improv and flush it out using the tools of repetition and contrast. For example, in the lesson “Waiting for Spring,” we learn how to create a simple ABA form in the Key of C.

CBT and NLP Approaches to Combat Depression

CBT and NLP Approaches to Combat Depression

When a person becomes depressed it can affect all aspects of their life i.e. work, relationships, sex life and their social life. I have treated many clients at my practice in Hertfordshire who find it difficult to motivate themselves at work or even in their relationships. We all feel depressed at times but generally we are able to pick ourselves up again after a few days or as some might say snap out of it. However, it is time to seek professional help when you are not able to overcome these issues.

CBT Herts is based on the idea that our thoughts cause our feelings and behaviours, not external things, like people, situations and events. The benefit of this fact is that we can change the way we think to feel and act better even if the situation does not change. CBT makes you challenge your own thought pattern and change old beliefs you may have that are holding you back. It is not about merely thinking positively but viewing a situation differently.

Depression is very common in a world that can be cruel and demanding. Symptoms can affect day-to-day life and can become very distressing. Treatments include talking treatments and antidepressant medicines. Many people who suffer from depression will visit their GP for help and are subsequently prescribed antidepressant medicines. In my opinion this should be the last resort. Talking treatments such as NLP ( Neuro Linguistic Programming ) and the more widely known CBT ( Cognitive Behavioural Therapy )are effective solutions to combating depression. At my practice in Hertfordshire I treat many people for depression with a very high success rate. Treatment takes time to work but has a good chance of success. Some people have recurring episodes of depression and require long-term treatment to keep symptoms away.

I would generally recommend CBT Herts for people who are suffering depression ,however, if this does not work why not try another form of cognitive therapy which is NLP. NLP Herts is not as commonly known as CBT but can be just as affective at treating people who are suffering from depression. NLP, Herts works more with what we might see, feel, hear when we are depressed. For example at my practice in Hertfordshire, Berkhamsted I would ask a client if when they are depressed do they see any specific imagery, hear anything or feel anything specifically. Some clients say they feel empty in their stomach or their imagery is distorted. So on this basis we would work on their imagery. Also Hypnotherapy Herts can help with depression as this puts a client in a deep state of relaxation and talks to their sub conscious about issues they might be struggling with.

The Japanese Art of Shiatsu - Key Principles

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008

Practice makes perfect

Shiatsu is usually performed on the floor. Do not prod your partner’s skin, but relax with your arms straight, and lean slowly in with your body weight. In this way, you can apply very deep pressure without causing pain. Hold the pressure for about 5 seconds, so that you have time to tune into your partner’s body and so that your partner becomes aware of his or her own body and gradually relaxes.

The Japanese Art of Shiatsu - Key Principles

Applying pressure

Shiatsu is based on the same principles as traditional Chinese medicine, according to which the life energy (ki in Japanese, qi in Chinese) circulates around the body through meridians. There are 14 meridians, each of which is associated with a major organ. Some practitioners work on whole meridians, while others focus on specific shiatsu points. There are about 600 points arranged symmetrically on the meridians on the body.

You can use shiatsu pressures simply on their own or in combination with another massage sequence.

The supporting, or “mother,” hand is a very important concept in shiatsu, and means that one hand is active while the other is receptive and “listens” to the body, therefore encouraging a flow of hi. Try to establish a rhythm and work slowly, so that you stay still for a while with each pressure.

In the courses I teach, the students spend their first 5 minutes crawling around the room on all fours. This is a simple way of teaching them how to relax their weight onto their hands, which is a key to applying pressure correctly in shiatsu.

The most important thing about shiatsu is using your body weight correctly to apply pressure. As you can imagine, to get this right requires considerable practice.
