the srteets of LA are tough, they need a tough cop, Jake Cop. Shot in Newport, South Wales, but set in LA (go figure), Cop 9 tells the story of maverick Los Angeles police detective Jake Cop and his attempts to catch the murderer of his long time trusted partner Jimmy by the evil Cloombian drug baron Sanchez Conchita Gonzalez. The film opens with a black and white flashback sqeuence set on the top of one of Newports, I mean La.s, highest buildings. A violent shoot-out sees Jimmy plummeting to his death and Sanchez escaping from Jakes wrath, thus setting up the rest of the film for a cliché fest of truly spoof proportions.
