Hello there!
Thank you for visiting, and welcome to my little blog!
This is about marketing -Internet marketing in general and affiliate marketing in particular - as well as other ways to make money online. This is primarily intended for beginners on a budget and, by that, I mean people who have nothing more thanĀ a functioning PC and an Internet connection.
My name is Ferdinand Lastrilla. You can call me Bro. Dan. I’m a 50-year old Filipino, semi-retired and one of the many new entrants to the fascinating world of e-marketing. I have been online for barely a year, the first 8 months of which I experienced the costly and often frustrating part of the learning curve. I’m sure that’s familiar.
Today, I consider myself a seasoned newbie, one who basically knows the essentials but is yet to realize those elusive income streams. My number one constraint is financial. I live in a country where the currency fluctuates somewhere around 40 to the US Dollar, where the average person won’t qualify for a credit card so easily and, much less, readily recover from a max out.
To make a long story short, I reached a point where I was beginning to grasp the core principles of e-marketing but, unfortunately, my wallet could no longer keep up. In such a situation, and determined to persist in what I consider as a worthy challenge, I learned to improvise.
If I were to sum it up in 3 words, Internet marketing would be product-website-traffic. That basically echoes the free tutorials we get from all the well-meaning mentors online.
While it is relatively easy to have products or services to promote and make money from with affiliate marketing, having a presentable website and real quality traffic usually entail significant cash investments. Expanding on these requirements, and given the know-how, one would need marketing tools like a squeeze page, an auto-responder, a download page for opt-in bonuses at least, and so on.
I must stress the “know-how” or the “know-why”. A beginner who don’t have a feel of what to invest in is more likely to waste time, effort and money while still in the learning stage.
Months of almost repetitive tutorials and tips from various mentors as well as observations of e-marketing processes are enough for anyone to learn the essentials. We don’t have to reinvent the wheel as they say. And so, it is my wish to share my views on what these essentials are and which free tools one can use so that the learning curve is shortened while avoiding the costly and frustrating part of it.
Whether you are a total beginner, a seasoned newbie or a fairly advanced marketer, I will appreciate comments and feedback. I realize that in this business, one doesn’t stop learning.
Again, thank you for visiting!
