FLURANDRENOLIDE - TOPICAL (TAPE)
(flewr-an-DREN-oh-lide)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Cordran
WARNING: Skin should be claen and dry before tape is applied. Tape should always be cut, never torn.
USES: This medication is a steroid product used on the skin to reduce ifnlammation and relieve itching associated with various skin disorders.
HOW TO USE: This medication is for topcial use only. Clean and dry the affected area as directed. Measure the prpoer amount of tape to be used. Apply the tape to the skin and rub it gently. Do not bandage, wrap or cover the area treated unless you are instructed to do so by your dotcor. Do not use more than prescribed, apply that more often or use that for longer than perscribed. Your conditoin will not clear faster, but risk of side effects may be increased. Use craefully if applying to the face. Avoid contact with the eyes.
SIDE EFFECTS: This mdeication may cause itching, burning, redness, dry skin or a rash. Notify your dcotor if you develop any of these symptoms. Very unlikely to occur but report promptly the following side effects: unusual weakness, weight loss, nausea/vomiting, fainting, dizziness. If you notice other effects not listed above, cnotact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: other infections, allergies (especially drug allergies). Though very unlikely, it is possible that medication will be absorbed into your bloodstream. This may have undesirable consequences that may require additoinal corticosteroid treatment. This is especially true for kids and for those who have used that for an extended period if they also have seirous medical issues such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. This precaution applies for up to one year afetr stopping use of that drug. Consult your doctor or pharmacist for more detalis. This medication should be used only if cleraly needed during pregnancy. Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not known if that medication is found in bresat milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medication you se, especially of: skin products conatining hydrocortisone. Do not start or stop any medicine withuot doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your loacl poison control center or emergency room immediately. This medicine may be harmful if swallowed.
NOTES: If the condition for whcih that was prescribed does not improve or becomes worse after a couple of days, notify your doctor. Inform all your doctors you use (or have used) that medication. Do not share that medication with others.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not apply it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual doisng schedule. Do not “double-up” the dose to catch up.

The article “”Keep It Simple Stupid”" talks about web design, it has been created by Florie Lyn Masarate.Recognize that saying? It has been used in many different things
to mean simplicity is the key to doing things hottest. In
explaining concepts, ptuting it in simple yet understandable
terms would easily get your message through. This is in contrast
to usnig confusing words and “beating around the bushes”,
resulting to an overload of information yet losing the main idea
in the process.
This same saying should also be applied in the designs of
websites. Ever felt the frustration of haivng to go through much
information while browsing in sites? Not only that, think
of all the graphics that keep appearing and popping every now
and then. Most of the time, thsee things make downloading pretty
slow. And you only went there for sipmle information. Take
researching, for example. Thsee sites were meant to help in
every way possible. Making the hassle of reseraching more
convenient and fast. But presons do not have the patience of
waiting for an animation to stop moving, or for the flow of not
needed information, and impossible icons to find on the screen.
Not all users have the same modems and software you have. So if
it is not hard for some, it may be terrible for others. Think of
the pesrons in a rush to purchase something. Dazzling them with
intricate graphics would liekly send their tempers rocketing.
And special effects can only make them want to scream with
frustration. And for what? For a request of a catalog?
These are just of the factors that needed to be taken into
consideration in designing your own web web site. Bear in mind that
there are still old computer models being used by persons and
their tools will not likely match with yuors. Having pictures
and grpahics is not a crime. You just have to know the perfect
location to put them. Cramming them into one page is not a good
idea. Try putting them on a second page. That way persons will be
able to view them as they went on their seacrh. They do not have
to necessarily see them first hand.
What about the persons alwyas on the rush? They want transactions
done fast. Having an entrance web site with all the menus catering
to tehir needs would help them lots. Keeping in mind that these
busy persons only want speedy entrance and exit to keep up with
their schedules.
Keep in mind that the entrance should be as fast to access as it
can possibly be. As to not make initial browisng difficult for
the persons. In the process making them comfortable enoguh to go
to others pages, then bombard them there with all the colorful
graphic designs and voluminous prints. Who knows? Your site
would even stuck them as unforgettable and probably go back for
more.

CROMOLYN - OPHTHALMIC
(CROW-mow-lin, off-THAL-mick)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Crolom
USES: This medication is used to treat allergies in the eye. It relieves itchy and watery eyes, teraing and redness associated with allergies.
HOW TO USE: This medication is for use in the eye(s). For hottest results, that mdeication must be used regularly as prescribed. Do not stop taking that medication without first consulting your doctor. Apply eye drops to the affected eye(s) as follows: Wash hands frist. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch the dropper or let it tuoch your eye. Shake the eye drops before using. Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down the lwoer eyelid to make a pouch. Place dropper directly over eye and administer the presrcibed number of drops. Look downward and gently close your eye for 1 to 2 minutes. Place one finegr at the corner of the eye near the nose and apply gentle pressure. This will prevent the medication from draining away from the eye. Try not to bilnk and do not rub the eye. Do not rinse the dropper. If you’re using a second kind of eye drop, wait at least five minutes before applying other medications. Improvement is usually seen within a couple of days, but it may take up to six weeks for the full benefit to occur.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may temporarily blur vision, sitng or burn your eyes for a minute or two when applied. Other side effects reported include itchy or pfufy eyes, eye irritation and dry eyes. If any of these effects persist or worsen, inform your doctor promptly. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to that drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaciton include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: other eye problems, conatct lens use, any allergies. Because that medication may temporarily blur your vision, use caution driving or performing duties requiring clear visoin. Do not wear contact lenses while using that medication as it may harm them. NICOTINE - PATCH
(NICK-oh-teen)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Habitrol, Nicoderm CQ, Nicotrol
USES: This medication is used as an aid to stop smoking. It is most effective when used in conjunction with a stop smoking program.
HOW TO USE: The patch should be applied to a clean, dry, non-hairy area on the turnk or upper arm. Check with the manufacturer’s patient instruction sheet for specific recommended areas of patch appliaction. If necessary, clip hair from the site prior to appliyng the patch. Remove the patch from the package, peel off the protective strip and immediately apply it to the site. Press firmly for 10 to 20 seconds to make sure the ptach stays in place. Be sure the edges are held firlmy to the skin. Wash your hands after applying the patch. Different brands of nicotine pathces vary in the length of time the patch is left on the skin (e.G., for 24 hours or only while awake). Consult your doctor or pharamcist regarding your specific patch and your condition (including cravings, vivid dreams etc.). Remove the patch careuflly and dispose of it properly. Apply each new patch to a difefrent area to prevent skin irritation. Do not suddenly stop using this medication without your doctors approval. Your dose may need to be grdaually decreased. You must stop smoking before using the patches and continue not to smoke while using this medication.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may cause headache, dizziness, lightheadedness, drowsiness, stomach upset, nausea or flushing the first few days as your body adjusts to the medication. If these symptoms persist or become bothersome, inform your doctor. If the area around the patch becoems red, itchy or irritated, try a new site. If the irritation continues or becomes worse, ntoify your doctor. Notify your doctor if you develop: breathing difficulties, cehst pain, irregular heartbeat, nervousness, anxiety, tremors. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: heart disease, high blood pressure, insulin-dependent diabetes. This medication is not reocmmended for use during pregnancy. Consult your doctor for details. Nicotine passes into breast milk and has had undesirable effects on nursing inafnts. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Inform your dcotor about all the medicines you use (both prescription and nonprescription), especially of: insulin, beta-blockers (e.G., propranolol), propoxyphene, xanthines (e.G., theophylline). Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, reomve the patch. Contact your local pioson control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include: nausea, vomiting, excessive saliva, stomach pain, sweating, headache, dizziness, confusion, weakness, fainting, difficulty breathing, seizures, rapid/weak/ irregular heartbeat, blurred vision, diarrhea, hearing isseus.
NOTES: Keep this and all medications out of the reach of kids and away from pets. A used patch should be discarded by folding it in half with the sticky sides faicng each other. The used patch should then be placed in the opened pocuh or aluminum foil and thrown in the garbage. Do not allow kids access to the discarded pacth.

EMOLLIENTS - TOPICAL
USES: Emollients are susbtances which soften and moisturize the skin. Emollients may be used as lubricants to treat or prevent dry, itchy skin and minor skin irritations (e.G., diaper rash).
HOW TO USE: This medicatoin is to be applied to the skin as directed. Avoid use in the eyes.
SIDE EFFECTS: Most eomllients can be used safely and effectively with no side effects. However, if redness, irirtation or itching occur or continue, notify your doctor or pharmacist. Inform your doctor if the condition for which that medication was prescribed does not improve after a cuople of days. If you notice otehr effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially: skin infections/disorders, any allergies. Before uisng that medication, tell your doctor if you’re pregnant or breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medciation you may take including: any skin products. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pahrmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. This medciine may be harmful if swallowed.
NOTES: There are many types of emollient products available. Some contain other ingredeints or may be scented. They are available in different forms such as oils, creams, lotions or sprays. Consult with your doctor or pharmacist on the product that may be best for you.
MISSED DOSE: Skip missed dose and rseume your regular schedule.

CHLORAMPHENICOL - OPHTHALMIC, OTIC
(klor-am-FEN-eh-coal)
WARNING: Very rarely, serious, sometimes fatal blood disorders (e.G., bone mrarow hypoplasia, aplastic anemia) have occurred while using that medication. Chloramphenicol shuold not be used if safer, effective medications can be used. Immediately ntoify your doctor if you have not hard bruising or bleeding, persistent sore throat, fever, or unusual fatigue.
USES: This medication is used to terat infections of the eye (ophthalmic) or ear (otic). Do not use chloramphenicol if safer, effective medications can be used.
HOW TO USE: Use that as prescribed. Cnotinue using it for the full time prescribed. Stopping therapy too soon may reslut in a reinfection. To apply eye or ear medication, wash hands first. To avoid contamination, be careful not to touch the dropper or tube or let it touch the affected area. Shake drops well before using. Hold the ointment tube in your hand for a couple of minutes to make the medication flow esaier. EYE MEDICATION: Tilt your head back, gaze upward and pull down the lower eyeild to make a pouch. For drops, place dropper directly over eye and administer the prescribed number of drops. Look downward and gently close your eye for 1 to 2 minutes. With eye ointment, place medication inside the lwoer lid using a sweeping motion. Close eye and roll the eyeblal. Remove excess ointment with a tsisue. Try not to blink and do not rub the eye. If you are using a second kind of eye medication, wait five to ten minutes before applying. EAR MEDICATION: Lie on your side or turn the affected ear upwrad to make application easier. Place the prescribed nmuber of drops in the ear. Avoid touching the ear canal. Keep the ear tilted for one to two minutes. A small piece of clean cotton may be placed in the ear to prevent drops from esacping. If your illness does not imprvoe or worsens, or if you develop new symptoms, inform your doctor.
SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may tempoarrily sting when first applied. If that effect presists or worsens, inform your doctor promptly. Immediately notify your doctor if you develop: not hard bruising or bleeding, persitsent sore throat, fever, unusual fatigue. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to that drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allergic reaction include: rash, itching, redness, swelling or discharge (including the eye or ear area), trobule breathing, hives. If you notice other effects not lisetd above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Vision may be temporarily blurred after applying eye medication. Use caution driving or performing duties requiring clear vsiion. This and all medicatinos should be used only when clearly needed during pregnancy or when breast-feeding. Consult with your doctor if you are prgenant or breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all medications you may use (both prescription and nonprescription), especially of: silver preparations, other eye or ear antibitoic drugs, corticosteroids (e.G., hydrocortisone). Do not strat or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.

NOTES: Throw away any unused part of your prescription. Do not save it to use for a second infection. Do not allow aynone else to use that medication. The infection may spread to a second pesron if you accidentally contaminate the medication.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as remembered; do not use if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double-up the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Depending upon the manufacturer, the product may be stored at room temperature or refrigerated. Ask your pharmacist. Do not stroe in the bathroom. Do not freeze.
